Bucida buceras (Black olive, Myrobalan tree, Terminalia bucera, Whitewood)
Attractive tree for well-lit areas. Some examples can be deciduous and will drop their leaves for no readily-apparent reason.

Unusually proportioned plant. The stem is almost always braided into a plait to give it some rigidity.
Spathiphyllum wallisii (Peace lily, White sails)
Occasionally used as a small specimen plant but more commonly found in single or mixed displays, or as under planting to larger species.
Strelitizia nicolai (White bird of paradise)
Similar to Strelitzia reginae, the 'Bird of Paradise' plant. This species has white and blue inflorescences. In the wild, it can grow to a height of 4 metres, though they are much smaller when grown indoors.
Syngonium podophyllum (Goosefoot vine, Nephthytis liberica, White butterfly)
Small variegated aroid that is often trained to climb a pole or hang from a basket. Available with a wide range of leaf patterns. Very easy to maintain.
