Atrium in a building in the Netherlands

Rentokil Tropical Plants, Netherlands, installed these displays in an office building during the summer of 2004.  The tree in the over-sized terracotta container is a Podocarpus, one of the few conifers that can be grown indoors.

The bottom picture more properly belongs in a different category in this gallery, but it is in the same building as the others and shows how different styles of planting can work well within one building.
