Linking
the inside with the outdoors: the entrance to Victoria Plaza,
London.
Victoria Plaza,
on Buckingham Palace Road in London is an office building
that has recently been refurbished. The design of the plant
displays in the reception and North Atrium is closely reflected
in the style of the planting at the entrance on the outside
of the building.

These
pictures show how the style of interior plant displays,
with modern containers and imposing plants, can be
made to work effectively out of doors.

The built-in
planter beds on the interior are almost identical
to those next to the front door on the outside.

The plant displays
at Victoria Plaza were designed by Paul Sturgess and Rebecca
Hewitt of Rentokil
Tropical Plants, UK. These displays achieved Broinze Award
for design and installation at the 2004 eFIG awards for interior
landscape excellence.
