Rentokil Tropical Plants, UK has just launched a new plant display called 'Yucatan Fantasy'.  The display features a new variety of Beaucarnea recurvata (commonly known as the Pony tail palm or Elephant's foot) that has the unique feature of variegated foliage.

The new variety, registered as Beaucarnea 'Yellow Star', is exclusive to Rentokil Tropical Plants UK.  The result of over 9 years work by its breeder, Kees Janssen, Beaucarnea 'Yellow Star' will be available to customers as part of a unique display being marketed as 'Yucatan Fantasy' - a reference to the wild origins of Beaucarnea in the Yucatan desert of Mexico.
